Don't Limit Your God!

Chorus
Don’t limit your God. Don’t say it’s too late.
Don’t let Satan tell you your sins are too great.
Your God has all power. He will provide.
You no longer need to feel empty inside.
Christ’s atonement can heal all women and men.
It’s been proven before; you can prove it again!

1
When Adam first left Eden’s garden so fair,
his heart felt a void, for God had been there.
Adam wondered, perhaps, “Will I see Him again?
And if not today or tomorrow, then when?”
He knelt down in prayer and humbly confessed
that he needed his God to fill his soul’s emptiness.
And although Adam and God had once parted ways,
the void in his heart was consumed with this phrase:

2
Jonah thought he was safe in the boat as it sailed
away from the town where till now good had failed.
When thrown overboard, God allowed him to live.
Time on Earth is just one of the gifts He can give.
In the fish he inquired, “Is it too late to shout
that I am repentant? Dear God, let me out!”
With faith Jonah prayed. He told God “I was wrong!”
When his body hit land, his whole soul sang this song:

3
Now Peter, the great apostle of old,
would not sell his Christ for some pieces of gold.
But when some said that he was with Jesus a lot,
he must have felt sick as he lied “I was not!”
Peter suffered I’m sure, with thoughts of regret.
And after Christ’s resurrection, again the two met.
Peter asked for forgiveness. His petition was heard.
With hope and Peace he once more taught these words:

4
You might just believe that your sins “take the cake;”
that they are too gross for even Jesus to take.
But if Adam and Jonah and Peter and I
aren’t examples enough, try these on for size:
There was David the king; and Paul who was Saul;
the woman left unstoned; we can change – one and all.
When the humble repent, they are freed who were bound.
With God’s saving Grace, the lost have been found.

Find Christian Poetry, Songs, and Literature Here

This is where you will find lots of Christian poetry that I have written, as well as songs, poetry, and literature of those close around me. I write not because I am good, but because I want to get better.
I chose 0-153 because of how many fish the apostles caught alone vs. the number of fish they caught with Jesus' help - See John 21. We are nothing of ourselves. But with Jesus we can overcome any obstacle and from Him we can receive miraculous blessings.
When we try to do things ourselves, we get into trouble, and that is when we feel sorrow, disappointment, and despair.

I know what regret is all about.
It is an abscessed tooth we can't pull out!

And even though we can never pull out the abscessed tooth or remove regret from our lives by ourselves, God can remove our pain and suffering through His love and the love and atonement of His son Jesus Christ.
